Choose 3 different activities from the menu below for spelling homework this week.
You must turn in all 3 in by the morning of the test, which is usually Friday. (If we have a shorten
week, it will be due the day of the spelling test that week.) You may complete each activity only one time for the week. When you complete your spelling homework to turn in, you must write your name and
the title of the activity you chose. Spelling lists are sent home on our class newsletters at the beginning of every week and can also be found on my webpage. No ink, please.

Write each word as many times as will fit on a swirl using the Swirly Words Template.
It is your responsibility to pick up a template in class. If you didn’t get a
template in class, pick something else, please.
COMPUTER FUN
Type your words, print, and turn in. Print out required.
IN THE SPOTLIGHT!
Write each word neatly and correctly. Then go back and highlight all the vowels using a yellow
crayon or highlighter.
SPELLING TEST
Have a family member give you a practice test where you write each word as it is read
aloud. Have your parent sign the bottom of your paper. Turn it in!
TAKE FIVE
Write each word 5 times correctly and neatly.
SENTENCE PRACTICE!
Neatly write one complete sentence with each word.
RAINBOW WORDS
Rainbow write your words. Put the letters in the spelling pattern in a different
color. Colored pencils work best for this activity.
ABC ORDER
Write your words in ABC order.
PYRAMID
Write your list word neatly starting with one letter only and then adding one letter
at a time per row. Please use lined paper only. See example:
